And it began to imagine through primordial self-referential spin such that it created the self-referential Matrix Law, the external object to be observed and internal object as observed, separated them into external world and internal world, caused them to interact through said Matrix Law and thus gave birth to the Universe which it has since passionately loved, sustained and made to evolve.

The issues surrounding quantum brain/mind/consciousness research are both confusing and complex. If one can manage to grasp these issues, one may find that the past of this field has been fruitful and its future is indeed very promising. The current landscape and past achievements in this field have already been discussed by our colleagues as pointed herein. This editorial mainly attempts to classify/clarify some of the major issues and discuss what are lying ahead.

It is our comprehension that Consciousness is both transcendent and immanent as similarly understood in Hinduism. The transcendental aspect of Consciousness produces and influences reality through self-referential spin as the interactive output of Consciousness. In turn, reality produces and influences immanent aspect of Consciousness as the interactive input to Consciousness through self-referential spin.

This paper summarizes experimental support to spin-mediated consciousness theory from various sources including the results of our own. In doing so, we also provide explanations based on this theory to experimental phenomena such as out-of-body experience and sensed presence, quantum-like cognitive functions and optical illusions.

In short, this is our hypothesis of a scientific genesis (principle of existence).

2008 is a year in which the world’s economical, financial and even political systems are going through unprecedented turmoil and earth-shaking transformations. Yet, it seems that nothing has changed in Science except that many scientists are sadly loosing there jobs and/or funding. Religion also seems to be stagnant with the exceptions that various hastened prophecies of 2012 are flourishing and charitable contributions are in drastic declines.

In contrast to other books popularizing quantum mechanics, the importance and significance of this book is that it both explicitly discusses the connections between quantum mechanics and consciousness, and is used as course material for liberal arts students at the authors’ university (UC Santa Cruz) and perhaps elsewhere. Teaching with humor and sometimes in parables, the authors skillfully expose some of the enigmas of quantum mechanics with emphasis on their connections to consciousness.

An anisotropic and inhomogeneous exact solution is found to the empty 2N dimensional superspace Einstein field equations. The solution has N fermionic and N bosonic coordinates. This solution has the superspace reversal symmetries. This solution has not been created by the gauge transformations. The solution includes the fermionic (anticommutative) and bosonic (commutative) coordinates at the fermion-boson sector of the metric, symmetrically.

The inflationary phase of the evolution of the ten dimensional universe is considered. The form of the stress-energy tensor of the matter in the very early universe is determined by making use of some thermodynamical arguments. In this way, the Einstein field equations are written and some inflationary cosmological solution is found to these equations in which, while the actual dimensions are exponentially expanding, the others are contracting.

Electric spin effects are effects of electric fields on the dynamics/motions of nuclear/electron spins and related phenomena. Since classical brain activities are largely electric, we explore here a model of mind-brain interaction within the framework of spin-mediated consciousness theory in which these effects in the varying high-voltage electric fields inside neural membranes and proteins mediate mind-brain input and output processes.
